System efficiency is measured in SEER, (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) and HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor). The higher the SEER and HSPF, the greater the system’s energy efficiency, and the lower the overall carbon footprint of your household.

Comfort coils from Amercian Standard and Legacy Heating & Cooling works efficiently with your a/c unit or heat pump compressor and furnace blower to improve heating and cooling efficiency. The all aluminum Coil can help provide the highest level of performance and comfort year around.
It works by first receiving refrigerant from the air conditioner or heat pump compressor. The Comfort coil then allows the heat in the indoor air to be “exchanged” for cooler air. Meanwhile, the blower in your furnace circulates the cool air into your home, while the heat is released to the outdoors. The result is rust and corrosion are prevented and comfort, efficiency and dependability are improved.
Legacy Heating & Cooling provides homeowners with the ability to cool and heat every corner of the home with cleaner, more comfortable air using Air Handlers from American Standard. Each HVAC Air Handler Unit (AHU) can be paired with a heat pump or air conditioner in order to efficiently circulate warm or cool air throughout your house.
Our most innovative offering is also the most efficient. It features a variable-speed motor and integrated humidity control through Comfort-R™ technology, and a uniquely designed cabinet to help prevent energy loss and condensation. Platinum TAM8 models also include advanced communication features for a perfectly optimized matched system.

Unlike any other air handler on the market, the uniquely designed cabinet is insulated between its double walls similar to a refrigerator, keeping insulation out of the air that your family breathes. The GAM5 also includes a high-efficiency motor for better performance and efficiency.
